Create a Portrait For Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is one month away. Why not take your children’s Valentine portraits? I like to create Valentine’s portraits for the Great Grandparents and Grandparents. Here is a picture I have taken and it is very simple to do:
I took this picture in front of our fireplace. Anywhere is good as long as the background looks pleasing. I used a rose as a prop that I had around my house. I also gave her a derby to wear. We had a lot of fun taking this picture.
Some ideas for this picture…
You can have reprints made inexpensively. AdoramaPix is a great place to have reprints made. I have also used Photoworks. If you are signing up for the first time, they offer free prints to get started. You can buy cardstock at Staples or your local craft store. Cut the cardstock in half and fold. Paste the photo on the front of the card and put a nice Valentine’s message inside.
or You can make a card on your computer saying "Happy Valentine’s Day" and create a little message inside. Having your child sign them is a nice touch.
or You can also go to Walmart, Walgreens or any store that has a Kodak Picture Maker. They have attractive borders that could be put around this photo to match Valentine’s Day. You could also insert text around the picture as well.
When I send Valentine’s cards to our relatives, they love it. It makes their day. So get started right away. Valentine’s Day is almost here.
