Debbie is a wonderful artist and has an incredible talent.  If you want to have a special portrait drawn by Debbie, visit her website at http://www.DrawnByDebbie.com.

I’m Teaching A Photography Class Today

Today I’m going to be teaching a photography class to kids.  My friend has an art studio and has asked me to teach a class.  I am so excited.  So hopefully it goes well and the kids will learn.  Some topics I am planning to cover are:

1.  Distracting Background

2.  Zoom in for the Close-up

3.  Take horizontal and vertical pictures

4.  Use fill flash when the sun is harsh.

5.  Have fun - Take pictures of your family, friends, bikes, pets, etc.

What Kind of Camera To Use When Taking Children’s Portraits

Many people think you need an expensive camera to take portraits of your kids, but I am happy to say, you don’t. Now I wouldn’t say use a disposable camera.

If you are in the market for a new camera, I would recommend digital. If you have a 35mm camera and don’t want to buy a new camera, then check to see if my recommendations (in a later blog) fit your camera.
